BIO 121 - General Biology I

First half of 2-semester introductory biology sequence for biology majors and minors. Introduction to the concepts of structure and function at the molecular and cellular level, genetics and evolution. Students not meeting prerequisite must have permission by department to enroll. Partially fulfills the general education requirements in the natural sciences. This course may not be taken pass/not pass. A grade of C or better in this course is a prerequisite for enrollment in BIO 122.

Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in ENG 100 or ENG 101 or Directed Self-Placement for ENG 110 and Grade of C or higher in MTH 103 or MTH 115 or appropriate placement score for MTH 130 or higher.
