HIT 297 - Professional Practice in Health Information Technology Credit Hours: 3 This course encompasses a supervised professional practice experience in an affiliated health-related agency providing 80-90 practicum hours under the direction of a preceptor. The course is communicative and/or writing intensive and includes instructional components on basic concepts of financial literacy, responsible planning and necessary financial skills. The student must submit a general education student-learning portfolio. Failure to complete any of the activities assigned within this course will result in an automatic grade of ‘F’ for this course. If extenuating circumstances exist, you may apply for an incomplete. See your student catalog for more information about applying for an incomplete.
