GRY 240 - Earth Science for Teachers Credit Hours: 4 Open to Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle School Majors. A course designed to give students an understanding of the processes of science and the basic concepts of earth science using the inquiry approach in hands-on laboratory activities. Content includes maps, earth in space , weather and climate, soils and vegetation, rocks and minerals, landforms, processes of landform development, water resources, environmental relationship to the physical setting. Does not apply toward the major in Secondary Education. Students who take GRY 240 and GRY 142 may receive credit for only one of these courses.
