WLD 210 - Advanced Welding Technology


Credit Hours: 15
This course provides instruction in advanced welding theory, principles, and applications. Topics include, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW),  gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), use of an engine driven welder, CAD and blueprint reading. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive certifications by Lincoln Electric - National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3). Certifications include at least three of following processes, Introduction and Advanced Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Introduction and Advanced Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Introduction and Advanced Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Introduction and Advanced Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).  OSHA 10 certification is also included.
